Loose exhaust sleeves

Loose exhaust sleeves
Yesterday I discover that my rear exhaust sleeve was loose on one side and cracked.
Ive read that the only remedies are to tear down the engine and replace the sleeve or drilling the sleeve so that the pins can be inserted from exhaust port.
Mines happens to only have one broken pin and I do not want to take the motor apart for this.
I decided to make a retainer that will keep the diffuser in place by compressing in between the manifold and the diffuser.
Here are some pics
I wrapped the safety wire about 7 times around a peice of 1.5" pipe (1.9" actual diameter) then i used 4 coils and diametered them to the exhaust sleeve then the remaining length of the wire was wrapped to secure the ring.
The fittment should be albe to sit with the diamter to the manifold gasket.
I will see how this works.
