Grimmspeed 3" exhaust gasket

I wasn't sure of the best place to put this but since this mainly refers to single turbo cars I figured this was the best place.

I didn't see this come up when I searched and I've seen a few different people looking for 3" exhaust gaskets. I've been using these for several years now and they've held up great. The only reason I got new ones again was because I needed to get an extra one anyway to use between the two pieces of my RB dual tip exhaust I'm putting in, and I'm doing a new turbo and that forces me to do a new downpipe also.

The flanges on those two pieces of the exhaust made me modify the gasket a bit. I needed to widen the holes outward. But with all other flanges I've used them on (including the end of the RB exhaust that bolts to the midpipe) the holes line up perfectly.

These things are very heavy duty and you won't be having to replace them so often as with the pressed gaskets.

These are seven layers thick and Grimmspeed also offers gaskets that are twelve layers thick now too.

Been using one of such gaskets for over 3 years now. Over 10 track days and still holding up nicely.

They are nice pieces. The extra thickness helps seal leak prone flanges.

Indeed, as long as the flanges aren't bent too bad like mine was lol. I didn't even hear an exhaust leak before, but when I was looking at my midpipe (RX-7 store Magnaflow model) one of the flanges was quite bent on one end and you could see where it was leaking. So maybe the gasket at least quieted the leak? I'm not sure lol.

Holy ****, I'm so glad we don't have to deal with complex headers like that lol.

Thank you for posting this!

This will save me from doing all V-bands on the FD exhaust like I did on the FC.

I love MLS gaskets.

I read part of the description last night, where it mentioned the 3D scan of their faces and I thought that was odd, but I was so tired by that point it didn't dawn on me that it was a joke lol. I looked at it again a little bit ago and finally realized that when I read the bullet points at the very beginning of the description lol.

No worries! I wasn't sure if some folks hadn't heard of them so I figured it wouldn't hurt posting it.

It certainly is. I trust these way more than the pressed versions.

I haven't hit the track yet, but I have no worry with these. They're a little more expensive, sure, but I feel it's definitely worth the money.
