looking for a good single set-up

I am looking to buy a good single set-up that is pretty responsive and will yield around 420hp to the wheels without blowing itself up. Ported motor with all the mods. I had an Apexi kit, very, very responsive. I could not even tell the difference between that kit and the stock set-up, but was only able to make around 360hp to the wheels.
There are so many options out there but picking the right one is such a gamble if you go buy what the manufacturer says, because, of course "theirs is always the right one for you". I know a T78 would give me the power I want, but I have heard they are not very responsive and I do not want a super laggy car. Any suggestions from someone that knows first hand or has a friend that would know.. Thanks
