hey guys im looking to get a t78 but i wanted to know what else did i need i didnt want to buy that kit because i have some of the things that are needed like waistgate midpip, no blockoff plates, i mean would i have to buy a intercooler and such thanks again for those that could help me

 

I suggest you read a bit more about what you are wanting to get yourself into. If you are ready for a single turbo, then you should have a pretty good idea of what you will need.

Intercooler = Yes
Fuel System = Yes
Stand Alone EMS = Yes

My single setup has cost me tons....expect to drop close to $10k into your car to make it worth your time.

Greddy T78 = $3450
Greddy 3 Row FMIC = $1350
Apex'i PFC w/ commander= $1250
Fuel System = ~$2000
Clutch + Flywheel = ~$1000

Then you will have all sorts of misc. **** pop up and the price just keeps going up.....is your motor new/rebuilt/ported/stock?

Search around some on here....you will be suprised what all goes into going single.

what in the fuel system made it 2000? the answer is probably staring me in the face but i just have no idea what it was that could have made it cost so much.

You dont have to do all this but it all goes along with the fuel system and is way over $2000

Aeromotive -10 to -8 Distribution Block
Aeroquip 10 feet of -10 S/S line

SX Fuel Pressure Regulator
Custom Secondary Rail w/ 1680cc injectors
Custom Primary Rail w/ 750cc injectors

and that doesn't count any form of wideband or EMS...so $2000 is very easy to reach and pass when you are spending money on fuel systems.
