Smile looking for 540rwhp any help appreciated

Hey people, this has prob been asked heaps but i have spent about 2 hours in the single turbo section now n not really getting any answers as not that many of the cars have a full mod list and the rwhp stated, i will start here i have a 99 fd which has just blow the motor after 35,ooo kms on the rebuild as far as i can gether it blew due to dodgey tuning and it detonated anyway so im sick of the drama, i have purchassed a brand new serries 8 crate motor to work with, i wanna do a single turbo conversion and aim for 400 kw or i think the conversion is approx 540 rwhp?? my list of mods in my head so far is fuel pump, regulator, lines and injectors, single turbo of an un determined size intercooler radiator waste gate etc.... i already am running a pfc, will be getting wide band installed, the motor will be getting dowled some new 2mm 2piece seals and prob either a full bridge port of a half bridge n a race port.... any help with a turbo size and fuel pump sizing and any other sizing wood be awesome. sorry if im late to reply as i dont have the net at home for a few days so im using a mates while i baby sit lol

Thanks Mark

well you're definitely going to need either a big pump, or a dual pump setup of some sort if you want to shoot for that kind of hp.

imo as long as you are going to be running pump gas/race gas (not e85) you should be find on a 850/1600 or 1000/1600cc injectors.

turbowise, there are alot of options, and I guess it depends at what boost level you're hoping to attain those hp numbers. there are alot of turbos capable of that on race gas and high boost. or do you want those numbers on pump gas? are you willing to incorporate auxillary injection, and things like that?

I am running a precision pt67 at 18psi on e85, and made 425whp on the lower boost levels. would definitely make the power you're looking for with more boost. or you could look into a t78, gt40, gt42, borg warner makes some good stuff. give us some more info.

you will need a turbo that makes over 71 pounds per minute of air for 540 rw rotary hp. if you can conveniently buy methanol or ethanol i suggest you read up on AI... note the Auxilary Injection section. AI, properly tuned, will greatly decrease the need to buy more motors.

If your going with a full bridgeport you can make 540rwhp pretty easily. You can do it on pump gas for that matter, with AI/meth inj. (Use Howards advise, do some research on it) A good medium sized turbo would get you there, ie...Aspec 500R, GT40R, PT67, or even the GT35R may even do it.
