You'll need a bigger turbo to start with, pinned motor, Guru e-shaft wouldnt be a bad idea, atleast a 4 bar map sensor, and a bridgeport wouldn't hurt either, and a BAD *** tuner. Good Luck!

i dont think a gt4088 will cut it either, the gt42 family is probably where you want to start

do you have someoen building this? are they the same one's who are going to tune it? maby you should ask them rather than picking out parts

bridgeport is already on the list. i'm plannin on havin it tuned at KDR when the time comes. Other than porting I will be building it myself over the winter through the end of next summer so i'm not in any rush. thanks for the advice. anymore would be appreciated. I wish there was a pro rotary tuner around here to help me out.

You may as well scrap the power fc. Good luck with the build.

A GT40 is to small. You'll need a GT42 or GT45F to make those #'s and leave yourself some room to grow as well.

I saw a pic of a gt42 framed turbo running a gt45 comp wheel around here somewhere... That looked pretty damn sexy and would prolly get you around that power level. Motec is always another good ecu option to think about...

You'll want at least a 75mm inducer on the compressor to insure you'll get there. I would look at the autronic before you pull the trigger on the haltech. Ernie is running where you want to be with our 42R setup and Ray's Engine and tune. You'll either need a solid engine builder who knows what needs to be done to reach that power level or you'll wanna use the two piece E-shaft. It is a pretty high goal but not a hard one. There are more out there than you think

I believe that is the same thing as the GT45F....but I could be wrong. I know it was posted on another forum with a picture of it and its in the link below. It appears to have the GT42 comp cover.

GT45F info and pic

You not a Motec fan? I would like to see it versus the Haltech.

These are questions you need to ask your tuner. What would he rather you use. And make sure your tuner has built/tuned cars for the power range you want becuase the tuner you mentioned has NO experience in these power levels.

Exactly, he needs to spend more time asking his tuner questions instead of asking questions on a internet forums.

I have no issues with Motec. I said I prefer the autronic to the haltech.

'Tis not true. See sig. Mine is the GT4088R though. Which the GT4088 has a slightly bigger compressor. Mine is a 63.5mm where the non-BB version is a 64.7mm inducer.

But yes, as others have said, you would need to at least step up to a GT42(R) to achieve your goal of 700+rwhp.

Take it to Ray and tell him your goals. Write him a check when you pick it up.

On pump gas?
I can usually find only 92 very easily.
