Longevity of single set-ups?

Everyone is so focused on power (myself included ) that it's hard to find good information on the longevity of set-ups. I will be upgrading my turbos in the near future and am curious how different peoples set-ups hold up over time. Anybody have 20k - 50k miles on a single set-up with no engine or turbo blow outs? If so, whats your set-up (turbo, who built the engine, and anything else you want to add).?

LOL... yeah I know. I'm just wondering if anybody's candles have burnt for a "reasonable" amount of time.

I think the 2nd gen guys are getting 100,000 to 180,000 miles on their single turbo set ups

Yeah, they are stock. That is my point. If you want that kind of reliability you have to limit performance to a good degree.

So is your question more "how many miles on your 350 RWHP plus set-ups?"

I am also curious on that one!

I would like to be able to set up a 350 RWHP plus 13BT that will last 60,000 miles of fun driving. Sadly, I think I might have to end up going NA 20B for that goal.

I got 10k on my setup...and its workin great and expect it will go a lot farther.

As long as the tune is good...and you're not pushing the turbo beyond its designed limits...it should out last the rotary

my setup
stock mazda reman
ebay manifold with reinforcements
to4s from cheapturbo.com with water cooling, and heavy duty thrust bearing.
46mm tial wastegate

I was only running 9 psi...but that was pretty much maxing out the stock injectors...which if you do the math...is about 300-320 hp...conservatively. It lit up the tires at the top of 2nd gear.

turbo has as much shaft play as the day it was new....wastegate is most reliable on the market.

john
p.s. just to be up front...I am selling this system because I am going to a v8. I'm sure someone will point this out and question my logic
