LIke the title says today was the steven kan tuning day down in atlanta, it was a pretty good turn out and a nice lil groups of rx7s, anyways my best numbers for the day was 426rwhp and 340tq at 13.5 pounds on pumpgas, we would of kept turning the boost up but i we had some a problems with the boost controller... anywho my mods are in my sig.... Thanx's to everyone that help me get the car together and thanx steve for tuning it.....

you sure about that port timing?

Hell, I can pick up a low mileage T-78 kit for cheap (like $2k), this has me thinking about it, lol. More power than I made at 4 less psi, but now I need to compare charts and look at the low end differences.....let's see the sheet!
Its coming I don't have a scanner, but I may just take a picture off it and see how it comes out....
And 500rwhp should come easy but we'll c what happens, I always assume the worse so that if I do achieve it iam plesantly surprised instead of disappointed lol.. Ima work on gettin that sheet up

The a/f ratio was very conservative being around 11.2:1 a/f. We made 371rwhp at 11psi. The 426rwhp was actually more like 15-16psi at mid range and taper down to 13.5-14psi. I think most of it has to do with the porting since this is one of the few T78 cars that actually held up the torque up to 7.5k rpm. We were having issues with the boost not holding at higher rpm so we pretty much stop at that point since the hp we made exceeded his expectation (400rwhp is all he wanted).
Positive. The engine made 183rwhp and 140+ft lbs....while that does'nt seem like alot.....for a n/a engine that is very impressive. It was basicaly a very large street ported 6 port motor. The exhaust ports looked exactly like a factory peripheral port engine. Power came on around 5.5k and up. CJ
