Just bought a T04E

Alright, I just bought a brand spankin' new T04E. It is a 60-1 with an exhaust A/R of .84 and a compressor A/R of .60... I had originally wanted a 62-1, but this was a pretty decent deal...

Currently, I have just stock ports and a RB Turbo-back exhaust system...

Here's my questions, and there are many...

What size injectors will I need to run with this thing?
What's the maximum safe boost I can run?
Do I need to get a Haltech or some other standalone, or can I just get an S-AFC II?
I know it won't hook up to my exhaust and I will have to have that modified, as well as getting an aftermarket exhaust manifold, and I am going to get a nice, big FMIC. Now, what do I do about an AFM?
Last, what kind of HP do you think I will get out of this?

Oh yeah, forgot to mention: 87 TII.

If you're going to rebuild the engine soon, you could just run it with an S-AFC and some ghetto engineered tuning, then when it blows get a full standalone.

Matter of fact, just get the standalone.

Ok, so if I go with the stand alone, what do I do about an AFM?

Your EMS will use a Manifold Pressure Sensor and possibly the TPS (depending on the EMS) to determine your engine LOAD (how much vacuum/boost).

It also uses Water Temp, Intake Temp sensors etc. to determine how much enrichment is required for cold start etc...

Alright, so I will order a Haltech...
I am going to get 550 cc primaries and 1600 cc secondaries... That's what 1fastT2 runs with his T04B... He says it's overkill, but I figure I would rather have the extra capability than not enough. I already ordered a Walbro 255 lph fuel pump, and I am hunting for an FMIC right now. Any other suggestions?
By the way, no one answered me before... What kind of HP do you guys think I can put out with this? Also, what's the maximum safe boost I can run on 93 octane?

With some good tuning and about 15psi I would think somewhere around 370rwhp.

Yes, You will need a piggy back for your stand alone for the power windows and locks to work.

That is complete BS........ after removing the stock ecu and running stand alone.. every thing will still work like a normal car as long as you pay carefull attention to what wires / harnesses you remove. EVERY THING can work from your lights, guages, windows, wipers etc. Each have different harnesses from the main engine ecu. Its a lot of work to do it right, but possible.

Um, Yeah, that was a joke.
Although, I'm not too sure what you mean about the different harnesses from the ECU. The Only thing I had To rewire where the wipers when I installed my E6k. All the guages are hard wired to the sensors.

Glad it was a joke and not missinformation, but i didn't know it was a joke and maybe the noob to stand alone didnt know it either. Correct, the main ecu harness on the pass side will need to be split for the wipers and there was something else there also, i cant remember. Also if you want a tach, that gets rewired also, and your water temp will need to be wired into a temp sensor also because the ems will be using the water sensor now. I drilled and taped a series 4 water neck and placed a temp sensor there for the stock guage and used the one on back of the pump for ems (engine management system). The stock temp guage is strictly for refferense, if i need to know actual temp i look at my ems display hand unit (Wolf 3d).
