internal wastegate source

i have had no luck in the 2nd gen forum...maybe here?

have found a few nice t3/to4e turbos for my Turbo II but they all do not come with the internal wastegate or the actuator. I am sure I can use my actuator but I dont think that the wastegate set up would fit. Any other second gen owners out there that had the same problem but then found a source/solution?

just so we are both clear....

the t3 hotside of a t3/to4 has a 5 bolt pattern to accept a wastegate flapper valve and exhaust flange assembly. i suggest you purchase it with your turbo as you will need such an assembly to complete the backside of your turbo. the item generally is a garrett casting others make such a unit (turbonetics) BUT there is more than one 5 bolt pattern... for instance the mercedes diesel casting has a different bolt pattern.

make sure you find one that will fit your 5 bolt pattern.

as to actuator... it depends on how handy you are. the stock mazda fd actuator is an excellent piece. it has an approx 9 pound spring. with a bit of light welding or fabrication it can easily be adapted to your turbo.

good luck,

i deal w Majestic turbo waco texas. email kevin draper who is the key guy. they are very reasonable pricewise, racers, and do good work. he is very familiar w what you are looking for and can do alot of nice mods for you.... like machining 4 ounces of the turbine wheel nut and putting a bullet on the compressor wheel.

kturbo@majesticturbo.com will reach him.
