Intercooler question.

I was just wondering if any body has had a problem with radiant heat from the radiator heat soaking the intercooler. The reason why I am asking is because the spot I found for my front mount is 1 1/2 inches infront of the radiator, Thanks.

Polished aluminum has a low radiant absopriviity/emissivity. If you intercooler is "shiny", you won't pick up much radiant heat. If the intercooler is painted black, then radiation absoprption will be really bad.
