Injector bungs

Didn't have any luck posting this in "Roary Performance" so I'll stick it here. Many of you have been around the block....

If you know of a shop with injector bungs like what I'm looking for, please hit me up.

IDEALLY I'd want the "remote injector mount" but with a threaded base.

http://www.jenvey.co.uk/index.htm

But I'll take these if I have to. The same thing in the US would be better, with a threaded base (Install just like a standard threaded inj. bung, probably add a jam nut to lock the orientation where I want it)

The dirt cheapest source for generic threaded bungs would be nice, too. Right now looking at $7.50 each for weld/epoxy in, but I'd like threaded.

CHEAP throttle body with TPS would be handy, too. Will hit the yards and see if I can find a Ford unit this weekend.

I GOTTA drag that lathe home!

Thanks!

If you are going for cheap injector holders...

If you go to Sears/Lowes/Home Depot, you can get brass pipe unions in i think its size 5/8" to 3/4". Take off the threaded piece and the furrel of the smaller side, and now you have threads to thread into a manifold... And an injector will fit into the 3/4" hold and clamp tight...

So the injector will slide in with resistance, I just have to hold it down with the rail? That's great! I'll have to go pick up 1 or 2 to play with.

I bet I can find a fitting that would squeeze over the top o-ring there as well...

I'd seen Force's page, I'll have to give them a call and see what else they have.

I was looking for the DIY manifold overview that's on one of the standalone's manuf's pages and just glanced at electromotives inj. bungs. That's exactly what I'm looking for now that I look at it closer! DUH! I'll have to price those, but they look perfect. I guess I can get a "T" with 2 barbed and 1 AN end, run my fuel line in and out the barbs and do one AN fitted line from the "T" to the injector. Probably will be ordering enough to do 2-5 injectors, although I think 1 more 550 will give my car plenty of fuel. I think I'll set it up for 2 just in case, using AN lines and T's will be easier to run 1 then 2 if I need to than if I were to make a rail.

Which standalone manufacture had a page on making manifolds? (They made one for a Subie motor on the page...) I SWEAR it was electromotive, but the page isn't there now!

Thanks!

It probably was SDS's site.

I'm not finding the manifold page even on SDS's site, but in my memory I'd have been certain it was Electromotive.

I like SDS's injector bungs, if I can get those with either a 90degree square end or maybe 15degrees cocked and THREADED those would be PERFECT! Then again, I like the AN fitting hat on the Electromotive bungs, as all the injectors I'd use are standard non-barbed up top.

Anyone trust another way to run fuel line to non-barbed injectors without using a rail?

Force fuel injection got all of the above stuff you're looking for.
He's got the adapter that clips to the top of the injectors that use the AN fittings. Give them a call and speak to Rob and mention that I give you his #!

Thanks, I'll be calling Rob next week!

I was planning on not having a "dead end" but does it really matter?

Would you trust a hose clamp on a normal injector top? I don't think I would.

That DIY setup, the brass part at the manifold looks fine. I'll shoot for that setup but Force's adapter up top to make the injector barbed. If I can make it AN fitted that'd be better, I have a few AN fitted braided lines I can run to a "T" to make a pass through, in series with the stock system.

Ok. Electromotive's setup which would be perfect for me is $96 EACH. Don't think I'll do that.

Force EFI won't reopen till tomorrow, hopefully they have some better news for me.

This thing would be worth $10-$35 each to me, not a hundred!! Anyone else think that's a bit high?

What if I found a c-clip that snapped in the top oring groove. Then slide a hose over and clamp it. Would that be trustworthy?

(At this point I think I'll be getting SDS's slick bungs, but whole stock 90degrees on the business end and then run them through a die to thread them or just epoxy/weld them on)

Force's injector top adapter "witch's hat" is AN-3 and only $11 ish each. Bingo!

Force EFI is the best......

Have to have a pretty good grasp of what you're doing first if you want to talk to Rob. What alot of us deal with on our cars is a bit off from what their mainstream business is... At first when I said Mazda injector, trying to describe it as Nippon Denso but also 99% identical to ford 5.0 injectors, etc it took the 5.0 reference to see what I was talking about...

Thanks, Crispeed!

SCORE! All in one day...

Force has the sweet clips that aren't pig-tailed. SDS's bungs are a reasonable $17 each. <$40 per injector for AN top, base, and plug. Now I need to price the AN stuff, although when I get the tops I'll probably just have Rob use his judgement to hook me up!
