Iginition Question

What is iginition is everyone using and has it caused interference with your trigger sensor. I have 2 MSD boxes and 4 MSD coils, After tuning Steve told me I had inference from the Boxes. I can never get this car right

Should not have interference unless they are mounted close to the front of the engine.

HKS Twin Power, Taylor cables, NGK B9EGV plugs

His boxes are mounted in front of the engine and he's also running all msd blaster coils that are mounted on the frame rail across from the spark plugs.

As we know, space to mount extra equipment in our engine compartment is rare.
So moving his ignition components is hard.

I would suggest getting some braided shielding similar to what is at http://www.action-electronics.com/braid.htm
cut any wires that need protection, slip this over it, reconnect the wires and gound the shielding.

You're right about that. I had a hard time mounting my one box. Dr. Hagner is pushing it with 3 boxes!

So, he can use the wire shielding that you posted. Does he need to make or buy shielding for the actual boxes themselves ?

Lastly, does he need to shield his spark plug wires too?

Thanks a ton.

I would shield the wires from the two pickups all the way back to where they meet the main harness. To go any further would require taking the harness apart back to the firewall. The other option is two buy shielded cables and bypass the stock wires all the way back to the ecu.

I do not think the spark EMF will affect the ignitor or IG amps.

My exhaust is a 1.0 A/R, I dont have a scanner so I cant post the graph. I can tell my peak power is at 6750, but that's low due to the break up. Shielding the wires is a good idea, I also need to make a shield for both boxes.
