Wow... I'm just going to get this out of the way now... DO A SEARCH!

Now that that is done... T70 vs T66 ... BIG difference there. What horsepower are you trying to make and at what boost level? Most likely you will want a T66.

I want about 600 becuase the 13b re is band new and just built and it can handle crazy hp levels. its going to have turbo back exhaust and a whole bunch of stuff but basically i want around 600. i knopw rotory's dont need alot of power to be fast but i want about 600 because its going to be a drag/street carand i want to easily do 10's but have a great top speed to.

600 is not needed for 10's... But I wish you luck on your quest, as I will call it. I would also hope that that motor is built to the moon maybe even mars... OR maybe you meant to write 20b-re instead of 13b-re

Damn. 600 hp is very demanding. I think you could get away for considerably less. As for choosing a T70 or T66, try doing a search like Wargasm said. If it's not here, it's somewhere else. Good luck with your project badboi24u.

Well if you want 600 rwhp and you're picking from T66 and T70, I'd say go with the T70 and run about 30-35 psi of boost.

What fuel setup are you planning on running and what drivetrain mods are you going to do to keep this thing together?

the T70 has a terrible compressor map. The T66 is much better (and probably a better choice for you), or you could try the T72, which is probably too big, but is a much better design than the T70

While I think it's a little bit of a close call of T66 vs T70....

I think that while the T66 will undoubtably be more streetable, the T70 will "win" at the needed 30-35 PSI of boost because it's flowing a little more up there than the T66.

I don't think either would be a bad pick really for an all out drag car. If you want to keep some streetability and maybe give up a tiny bit of horsepower, go with the T66.

If you are really determined to make an all out dragmobile with 600+ rwhp, I would give the nod to the T70.

If you REALLY just want something bad *** on the street, forget the T70 and go T66.

This is all assuming we're only talking about those two turbos.

go with a PT74 GTQ... from precision turbo... will smoke either of those old school turbos....

do some research and call precision, look at comp maps, call turbonetics, etc.

i think the t66 will max out at around 550hp
the daily drive will be nice. I think you should rethink 600hp and shoot for 525rwhp. Keep the numbers real and keep the engine together. dowel pinned? Change thoses motor mounts. think the tranny might become your weakpoint also at 600rwhp if not the diff might.

you got alot of work ahead if your looking at 600.

good luck and work upto it slowly or get a couple motors on hand

.......oh i forgot

look into a GT40
i got a GT42 53trim for 980.oo so the GT40 should be a good price and size. study those comp. maps!!!
GT40 88mm 54 trim 73 or 84turbine should be good for 650hp but keep in mind you dont want to go above the 80% eff. also i noticed the 50trim is just about as responsive as the 54

call kevin at majestic turbo and please tell him bryan from NY ref'd you. He will talk your ear off w/ amazing info. Also he will give you a great price (keep in mind i didnt buy from him.. turbo of choice was not in stock)

t66 /\

GT40\/
cant find the map as a jpg its here (pg 21)
corrected air flow ranges from 10-66lbs/min
pressure ranges from1.2-3.4
flow rate is about 68

now if you look along the 2.4 -2.6 mark on the pressure...thats your sweet spot for a nicely built 13b

both not a bad choice..make your choice based on info. please!
have fun, be safe (keep the HP under 400 on street)

later.........

with a big turbo like pt74 or the t78 or T04e they pretty much hit full boost around 4-4.5k. all depending on how much boost you are running

To imply that a PT74, a T78, and a T04E are all pretty much the same isn't right.... 'specially the T78 vs the T04E... very different characteristics I think.
