lol enzo your not telling the whole truth anyways what enzo was going to say is him and turbo r1 have experimented with the bone stock blocks and HUGE turbo's and needless to say they can make over 700bhp with the right tuner. just check out turbo r1's build with a junkyard block and all the passes on the dynos and 1/4 mile.

With the LIM replaced for an aftermarket unit (GZ/Xcessive) can the UIM keep up or is a UIM still a "bottleneck"?

I have found that if your only going to rev to 7500~8000 then the stock FD intake is perfect...

If your planning to rev higher I would really recommend ditching the FD upper and lower...

The FD UIM has basically no intake plenum. This is not advantageous for high rpm power or big numbers.

To me this implies that Mazda tuned the FD UIM to enhance power at a specific and probably narrow rpm range.

word on the street. get rid of the standard s6 TB. fit a nice big throttle body to it, some special porting inside the manifold.

good for more midrange and 30hp peak (apparantly from reliable sources)

p.s thats the rotary works item. 90mm TB
