**** !!!
With 9.4:1 rotors I was able to boost 20 psi on pump gas (93oct) with no problems....I don't recommended it....but it is possible depending on tunning :p --I just keep on eye on my EGT's !!!!!
At the track I run up to 24-25psi which is the limit on the Wolf3D with race gas. Sometime the car even feels slower with race gas over pump gas with timing raised......
Rebuild engines after every event !!!!!! OUCH

There is a reason everyone has a different opinion on this and I cant believe it hasnt been brought up yet.....
The size of the turbo!!!! Its not boost that matters, its the amount of cfm a particular turbo flows, 20psi on some little dinky turbo doesnt compare to 20psi from a T-78. I think this is where the difference of opinion is.
What you should be asking is what the max cfm I can run and what turbo will make that much cfm. However most people on the board wont know how much cfm it will take because everyone talks in terms of boost not cfm. Thats why a T78 running 12psi makes tons more power than the stock turbos at 12psi. The bigger turbo flows more air. 20psi on a smaller turbo is prob ok but 20psi from a T78 i dont know, that might be a bit much for a stock motor I dont really know though. I'm sure its very possible with the right tuning
Someone please point it out if I'm wrong.

STEPHEN

NYC's Loudest FD
All I know is my car had a T88 and I used to run 20-21psi on the street every day for a year straight with no problems whatsoever(due to the fact of the wastegate spring coming that way from Greddy). My car had a E6K, and 4 1600cc injectors and was tuned properly by a guy from PR. It just goes to show you how far you can take 93 octane and the right tuning as long as you have the fuel supply, too bad someone wanted my car more than I did and decided to make it dissapear from my house. Ouch.

<<Supras and 300zxs make 600 Rhp on pump gas.what do you do when you're on the highway they run up behind you ?pull to the right? if you're like me, you hit the low boost button 1.5 bar and nail it>>
Supras and 300Z's don't have apex seals to break. And they also weigh ~3600 lbs., so 600 at the wheels in one of those is a little different from a 500 rwhp FD.
