how many miles on your single?

How do you guys put so few miles on your car? Perhaps a single turbo just isn't THAT fun after all......

So basically, the car is driven on weekends, or at the track. Takes a while to get some mileage on a week-end car.
I'm also guessing that a lot of single turbo guys haven't had theirs for too long, that could be another reason...?
I was just commenting on the fact that, while everyone always lists reliability as a "pro" to going single, there doesn't seem to be much evidence to back it up. On the contrary, I have seen dozens of members blow motors shortly after going single, some more than once. Just trying to figure out why "reliability" is being thrown around as a "pro".....
I've got some BNR stage 3's running non seq. I know its not single turbo but its basically the same thing. Since the first of the year when I got my car back together with new BNR engine and stage 3 turbos and tuned by Steve Kan I've put approx 9K miles on it. I drive it daily to work (short commute) and some at night and on weekends. I cant get into the car without going WOT a handfull of times per trip and I run 18ish psi of boost all the time.

I don't have many miles on mine because I've only had the car up and running since the beginning of July. To give you an estimate how often I drive the car, I put more fuel in the 7 than I do my daily driver. Sure the integra gets almost 30mpg but it gives you a idea how often I drive it.
I think a lot of people blow up after going single because they don't know what is going on under the hood. There are a lot of things that need to be payed attention to when going single. Tuning is everything, if you don't have that right you'll be popping engines left and right.

Most people who convert to single require the car to be down for a period of time. So most will not be using the car as primary transportation.
I use mine mostly for racing and rare weekends. It's just too loud for daily use... not as fun as my Z3 during top down weather.... too hard to control during cold weather months. Maybe I'm getting old?

The 18psi is the fun part haha. Actually I've been known to run 20psi but right now my stock bov's (haha you think I'm overworking them) are leaking so its more like 18
