How many gauges

Im currently in the process of rebuilding my fd. I am switching to a single setup, I have basically paid for all the parts except for gauges. With the stock twins all I had was an 02 and a boost gauge. I am going to get fuel pressure, oil pressure, coolant temp, oil temp, wideband, voltage, and the rest I dont know. Is an Egt a good idea, is a wideband necessary, aside from tuning, i heard the regular 02 gauge samples quicker and isnt a bad idea, manifold pressure??? I am wondering what gauges would you guys get and why, if there is room in the budget?

narrow band 02 = useless. And no, it does not sample quicker, they react much slower. EGT is a good idea to see where your timing is at, and monitor for detonation. Exhaust manifold pressure is only good to know for selecting a proper turbo. Doesn't the FD come with a stock voltage meter? The rest are good to have.

Voltage, oil pressure, and oil temp are not needed for a street car.
EGT is not needed after you tune because you have fuel pressure and AFR.

Oil temp is not bad to have, if you only have a stock water temp

you'll find many many differing opinions on this. for my street car i run a PFS boost gauge and an SPA dual water temp and oil pressure gauge. This in my opinion is the bare minimum for modified FD. Next on the list would be oil temp followed by fuel pressure (i can only check underhood on my aeromotive right now). I don't like the interior of my car to be filled with gauges, if i needed any more than that 3 for my specific application i'd probably spring for some kind of dash logger instead.

I currently have a fuel pressure gauge too, FCNA, or anyother member, what do you feel is the value of this gauge? It's in an extra pod holder, but I think I can make better use of this spot by placing something else there... Once the tune is set, the fuel pressure isn't that valueable right?
