dont know what this turbo is

OK i just bought a Garret turbo, it says AR 50 on cold side, but it has a hot side of 1.15....i dont have pics of it, but the turbo is a garrett for sure just cant find anything on their web site, also there are no numbers to crosss reference...i will try to get a couple pics up on here but if anyone can help just from the info i posted let me know..

ohh i dont think it is BB ..it turns free but not like a BB...........the guy said it was rebuilt , but i can feel some shaft play on it still.....side to side , not in and out

thanks for the help....also what kind of HP can i get from such a turbo?

you need to measure the wheels. that combination of A/R is not a good sign though. it probably has a big turbine housing and a smallish compressor wheel

man i think based on that great info provided its garrett's new line of turbos. sounds like the super crazy cool series. maybe a 1-2000 series. should make about 1172.473 hp @12psi. it should spool at about 1500 rpm and make tons of torque across the board! let us know how it goes!

lol

seriously, we need some pics and measurments

does it have a tag on it with a bunch of numbers on it? if so write them down and e-mail the guys at gpopshop.com, they should be able to tell you a little about it, or better yet, try e-mailing garret.

or pics would help alot as well. lol

pull the compressor housing off and measure the outer part of the wheel (exducer) and then the inner part (inducer)

Stop doing math and give the raw measurements, you should have 4 of them. But off hand I'm going to say its a Garrett T04B25, U-Trim compressor, a little smaller then a V-Trim. The turbine wheel is most likely a P-trim. Was OEM turbos for NAVISTAR diesel trucks. High volume low pressure unit. It'll be laggy with that big *** turbine housings. These tend to max out around 350 ish at the wheels at 1 bar on a 13b and spool like slugs because the over sized turbine housig.
