How Fast would this turbo make the car

How fast would a T3/T4 hybrid Turbo make a later generation rx7 go? I was thinking of getting a rx7 and my boy can get one of those out of a civic really cheap.

Not very fast at all. Anything that can go on a Civic is WAY too small to go on an RX-7.

You can get into the 11's on the stock twins already on the RX-7.

Ask him if he can get you an ICEMAN intake off a Civic too....they bolt right up to any generation RX7.

Actually I was thinking, a T3/T4 hybrid might actually make less power on a 3rd gen than you could with the stock twins! I don't know much about this though, just a thought.

Get a civic tranxaxle swapped into the FD while you are at it. It will save you some weight and is a bolt in affair.
(Disclaimer!!! I'm joking! :P)

Actually, a lot, but it depends on the turbo configuration.

The Garret GT30 and GT35 (including GT3540) are based upon T3/T4 hyprids. The GT3540 is based upon the old T35 that was used on the Euro Ford Escort Cosworth. This was essentially a T3/T4 hybrid, but has been updated with larger and more efficient turbine/ compressor/housing.

True, but I assume he is refering to a more comman T3/T4 configuration which would be practicle on a smaller displacement (1.6 - 2.0) engine. Then again, I could be wrong.

A friend of mine is running a T3/T4 hybrid on his mustang SVO W/ the 2.3L I4. It would be pointless to put one in a RX7 unless your goal is to drop HP numbers.

**** on Honda....I would love to see a Civic try and take me on the highway, even if it has a turbo. FWD sucks.

Ive got friend who had a civic with a b16 built and a vortech supercharger with a CRV crankpulley on it(honda guys know this) and his best et was 13.13@108mph. He had about $20000 in this ride, so i took my basically stock fc3s and ran a 13.60@106.7mph, and i had about $5000 in my car. Long story short.......HE BOUGHT A SUPRA!
