holset turbo help hx40.....fed up

Question holset turbo help hx40.....fed up

hi guys really hope some of you can help , due to not really knowing mutch about these holset turbos are which hotside will fit ,firstly its a hx40 turbo with a t3 size 18 houseing which had a wastegated fitted as im runing a external tyre thought there was no need so that was welded closed after doing some tuning with a standalone i found this turbo has a hot side which is too big to spool as its on a vw im affraid not a rx7 etc , evern after i built a pulse manifold hopeing it may have spooled beter , the boost is coming in too late ie 4500 rpm , so thing is this big 18 t3 is no good for me , i need a 12 or 14 in a t3 with a 3inch v band , dose anyone know which one will fit as i tryed two of hx35 thinking they may have fitted but they dont so those went on ebay ,, if anyone has one or wants to swap thers for mine as its basicly new , heres a few pics ,,ps do i need a oil feed restrictor as well ,

I know you are in the UK and a Holset dealer nearest you would be the best bet, but those guys know their stuff about Holsets, and may even be able to tell where you to go in the UK.

nice i reckon its a good start of finding one ,as ive tryed searching for one in the u.k , and have to say half the time i might as well not have rang ,,(useless) ill email them , now and add the rest of the holset part numbers ,,, topman ,,

theturbotrader.com, they have the housing in t3 and t4. i've sold a few of them with hx40s. they are very responsive. just call the guy and speak with him, he's very helpfull. good to deal with.
