Holset Part Number...

I've been searching for part numbers or serial numbers on Holset turbo's, HX40's...but so far, I've not come up with number that a cummins distributor is happy with!

I've got contacts through Cummins because I work in the marine industry but the numbers I've given them so far, they keep asking me for engine numbers because there are variations on the part numbers I gave them!

What I'm looking for is...

HX40
19cm housing
4" exhaust T4
4" inlet
v-band (if possible)

or...

any similar set-ups you have in HX40. Am looking for about 400-500Hp, thats what the car is set-up to support...

a little progress..

ok, I've been in touch with a Holset distributor, this might be a bit premature, but he is looking into turbo's for me, to try and match my information I gave him, to a turbo they produce...

Here is what I've asked for:

HX40
Compressor housing - MWE Intake, size 4"
Compressor wheel - 7 blade wheel
T4 divided 19cm exhaust housing
No wastegate
Oil cooled

Also asked for versions in a billet compressor wheel and standard wheel...

Will let you know what he comes back with.

That's the exact turbo I have. 4" inlet, 4" outlet. 19 cm^2 hotside with no wastegate. I got it from http://www.goldfarb-associates.com/goldfarb_site.htm
It was completely rebuilt and rebalanced if it is going to a "stock" application, but w/e. It looked new when I got it and it hasn't failed yet I paid $536 USD shipped.

Only trouble is the best you can do is ask for him to keep an eye out for that specific turbo.

feedback

I've had some response from the Holset dealer, he is happy with the information I've given him, but still needs more data, he is asking for the size of the inducer and exducer for the compressor and the turbine wheel!

Any ideas on that?

What I've got from the other forums I've is...

60mm Inducer / 85mm Exducer

76mm inducer / 64mm exducer

So what I'm thinking is to go with the 60mm/85mm, and see what they come back with!

or we've got smaller inducer's 50mm, 52mm, 54mm, 56mm...

From there I could work out the best combination to get me my A/R figure I'm wanting.
