what was response time time? lag? what power at what rpm? when did full boost come on?
what boost were you running?
do you still have a timing map?
do you know why the motor blew?
was the reason you went back to a streetport due to low rpm streetability/

that turbo in that configuration seems best suited for high boost levels.

Last I checked it's hard to find generic T3 manifolds for FD's. Where did you get yours?

1. i get 20 pounds before 4000.
2. 21 pounds
3. i dont have my bridge map sorry
4. apex seal
5. I went to a streetport because a bridge is over kill unless you are really going for serious hp, and im talking 700 not 4-500. Also its extremely annoying to drive around on the street not to mention people look at you like your completely retarded. trust me dont do it because it sounds cool because youll get over that in a week or two.

That's an awfully low goal for a bridgeported motor...I'm running a Holset HX40 (similar to the H1E), and I'm planning on having 450rwhp @ 20 psi on a streetported motor.

Ive driven moster bridgeports/ J ports around and i know all about noise and drivability.
We have lots or ported rotarys here in NZ, most infact are making some noise, Inside my car at the moment with the windows up I can harly hear it so once i have a trubo in there it wont be an issue.

T4 frame 26cm^2 housing.
i picked up a brand new motor bridgeported with new housings etc built by a reputable company for $3500NZ, which is like $2000us, Thats why its a bridge port

Thanks for the info.

Does anyone have access to a 26cm^2 HX40 housing?
We dont run many Holset turbos here in NZ so they arnt readily available and the next one we can order from the Holset factory in the UK wond be available for shipping until 3 august

Maybe i one of you guys could send one over for me?

Mines a 19cm^2 and it came on my turbo =/ 26 is wayy to huge for my tiny ports lol

http://www.goldfarb-associates.com/goldfarb_site.htm

Hit up this guy. Really cheap and he comes across a ton of Holsets from new, used, to remanned. Got my HX40 which was remanned and balanced for $536 shipped.

Hey man, the thing is running great! Just trying to put together a single turbo setup and I'm looking to run a Holset.

Lot reunion was fun, there were alot of old faces. I'm sorry to say, but I don't remember you by your screen name. What car did you drive?

I was looking for a 26cm^2 T4 HX40 housing, im all sorted now. we machined a 23cm t4 housing to take the larger wheel. 23cm your asking? we so am im but ive got a gaurentee that if if dont flow enough we will swap out for the 26cm which arrives in a month free of charge so im not stressing about numbers right now

There's some truth to that claim. I did blow the engine (wiring to the OMP got cut) but got it running again last September. Definitely not selling the car. Are you on Cleveland racing?

Sorry to revive this thread. I was wondering if the holset compressor wheel that you got has a superback or flatback design? aka raised in the center or completely flat on the back of the wheel.

Thanks for the input!
