HKS T51R KAI questions
If there's anyone out there with the HKS T51R KAI, could you please post about your setup?
My questions are:
1. Injector size.
2. What is the boost response like? Like, half boost at what RPM, full boost at what RPM?
3. Who tuned your engine management? (I have a PowerFC, which I'd like to keep if possible.)
Thanks.

Basically it all comes down to tuning. With the PFC you could run 850 primaries and 1300 secondaries and that will be more than enough for about 1.2 bar of boost.
As far as lag...that still depends on tuning and you might get it to as low as 4300 rpm.
Right now the PFC is the best and most cost effective tuning computer out there......If you want the HKS FCON-S will be out in a few months. It will give the PFC a run for it's money.

Actually I have....but I want to use all my stock gauges. Plus once the FCON comes out all tuning is out of my hands.....they will take care of it for me.

the only stock guages which are accurate enough to take notice of if you have gone far enough to warrant a new efi system are the rev counter and speedo.............. so whats ya problem......

Whoa. 4300 rpm is the low end? Hmm...there's not a whole lot of tach after that. When you shift are you full in the boost in the next gear? Maybe the penalty isn't that bad if it's only in first.

hksfd3s,
you said that when the HKS unit comes out, all tuning will be out of your hands, so it tunes automatically? I'm completely clear on what you meant. Also, is the FCON already out in Japan, but just not officially released in the US? Thanks man.
