Mine ran good for a few days... then started to boost creep real bad. I was running 15-16psi and I'd spike to 24 quite often.

I was running a TD08 turbo..

That was my first single setup.... nearly 3 years ago.

Carl Byck,
Andre here! how are you? I`m having some problems with boost creep and would like to pick your brain.

I`ve a HKS cast manifold and a E-Bay 50mm WG, T66 A/R .70 P-trim, 3" DP and exhaust. My boost controller is eliminated as I`ve run a vacuum line from the turbo compressor to the side of the wastegate. I have also installed a HKS authentic 10 psi yellow spring in the WG, but when i drive in 3rd gear the boost will stay at 12 psi then as i shift gears in 4th it will creep to 15/18 psi.

Can you help me with this problem?

thanks,

Andre

My boost was always spiking with both wastegates... I`m sure my boost controller was setup correctly.

Nonetheless, I eliminated the controller and it sill spikes... must be a sticking valve. I`m using an genuine HKS FD manifold.

Anyone has any other ideas?
That's scares me... I have experienced with two of these two fd's virtually same turbo kit. They had no issues holding boost at 13 psi on the "12psi" sring. I was using the same knockoff style manifolds too. I have been wanting to go with the HKS unit for longevity and hopefully it will be quieter. Is it? Quieter? And did u figure out your boost spike issue?
