hks fcd found in donor car... worth installing in swap?

I found an old hks fcd wired into the donor 89 turbo I just bought. Silly me, I ripped it out without taking notes on its wiring. Black, red, yellow and white wires coming out of it, it's the old model I'm guessing, with a 0-12 dash pot adjustment (wtaf is that about?)
I plan on using an safc2 (maps split by vacuum or boost situation rather than throttle position) for adding fuel and am just looking to make sure my 99% stock setup is solid. I did get the car with an RB rev2 exhaust system and am modding the turbo for an ewg to combat boost creep.

Thanks in advance for any help.
