Flex tube

Stainless Steel Exhaust Flex Tube 3 5" 88 9mm 1 Metre Section | eBay

^ anyone ever used this stuff? Im wondering if it would be any good for a turbo down pipe. Works out a lot cheaper than a short length of tube, two bends and a flex bellows... plus less work?

Can it be welded? Does it take rotary exhaust heat? Id imagine the egt's on some of the big rigs that use it would be through the roof.

The "better" braid type flex bellows incorporate that internally. The one's without, are ***** to put it plainly and will blow out. Normally used on diesel trucks - and dynos, so can take the temps.

You can weld it, but you need a very delicate touch. Locally I've bought two 3.5" bends for that price, they'd probably throw in the straight lengths too, sure, you'd still be up for the flex though.
