Fundamentally there is nothing complex about a wastegate and I don't think that ruling out the knock-offs completely is a sensible course of action.
Well put. I guess me saying they are all junk is the same as saying they come from the same place, neiher or which is true. I tend to post advice assuming not everyone has an eye for good machine work or can spot quality when its in there hands, so I generalise for those who can' tell the differene and try to save them head aches.
