Heres a weird spark plug...Got any idea's?

I was swapping out some plugs in my car and was wondering if any of you guys (RiceRacing??) have ever heard of the the NGK spark plug R4118G-11? They look like a B11EGV, but have a different number on the side of the metal portion of the spark plug. There is no number on the side of the porsilin (sp?), like a normal spark plug. I've done a bunch of searching but nothing has came up. So, If any of you guys could help, I would be very thankfull. CJ

I e-mailed NGK about it. Hopefully they can shed some light on the subject. On anouther note, do any of you single guys run the EGV series style spark plugs? CJ

CJ, I have not seen that number before.... I will try to look into it a bit further though (got some NGK books).

I use the EGV series plugs mainly for my single and others I do work on, simply from an economy point more than anything. They last for a decent amount of time (for a rotary) and you can get the right heat range + gap them to your specs.

I use from B9EGV's to B11EGV's depending on the situation and spec of the car.

What I was doing was running a 75 wet shot of nitrous with some B10EGVs. Backed the timing off about 6 degrees and was still getting some detintation in the top 2nd and 3rd gear. (The car made peak power with a 22.5 degrees of advace. I backed it off to 17.5) I'm running a 90gph fuel pump, with its own 3/8" pick up and fuel line...so the system is getting the fuel. I swapped out the 10s for the 11s I was talking about above. I'm just wondering why I need to run 11s on a non turbo engine for a 75 shot of nitrous. Double checked the fuel pressure (7psi), and made shure the larger jets where in the fuel side of the fogger nozzles. My car runs on the 11s, but it does seem to load up a bit, and not idle as well. Anyone got any ideas? CJ
