HELP! ... this is a good one...

ok...

I refresh my engine, in the process, swap from REW intake to RE intake and REW Throttle Body and port-matched the fd housings, installed new hardened stationary gears and new overhaul kit ... outside the engine, NOTHING CHANGED...

Engine started fine, rough in idle at first though... then when i was going for the first ride it failed to move and start make random explosions and noises... monitoring the MT, i noticed it was failing on the pump functions and vacuum zones... like fuel been the problem but tried many parameters and nothing worked...

on the next day, i removed the sparks and looks like the rear rotor was not burning fuel at all... start engine again and only 1 rotor started (like weed wacker sound)... so i check the injectors pulse with light tester and they were fine, I tested them with 12V directly and worked fine, still I changed them with spear ones i had and the problem persisted.... drop water through the engine while running to check for leaks and nothing....removed the intake to check for any leaks through the gaskets and nothing !!!

the ONLY way i was able to run the engine fine was forcing the secondary fuel rail to work simultaneously, also.... while engine running, i turned off the secondary rail and it went back to weed wacker sound (1 rotor only) ... so thats why i point on lack of fuel or air excess problem to one rotor only...but have checked everything and found nothing...

Anyone?????

I dont know if this is causing your problem, but did you know that there is a significant gap you have to plug up at the bottom of the manifold where the TB meets the manifold when using an FD TB on an RE intake manifold?

Had a similar problem once , I used some silicone to seal the injector housing to the holes in the middle plate , some extra silicone squeezed out and oozed down the side of the injector where it ended up drying on the bottom end of the injector/rail , completely plugging it , everything checked out fine , but it was obvious that something was wrong . maybe you should take it out completely and check it thoruoghly, check the wiring too , once a wire was loose in the jack and would itermittently cause contact to be lost between it and the injector terminal ,resulting in a miss every now and again , drove me crazy !

did you relocate the isc or eliminate it. Also like mentioned above check gap if using fd TB mated to RE UIM.

finally! thanks for your help... i read about the gap here before i did the RE swap

the problem was the injector, so both injectors at the same side form different rails were bad! i mean, what is the chance to that happen again!!! drove me crazy too!!! ...so let this be an isolated event and make everyone troubleshoot twice!!

what is ics???

BTW

My MPG's went up from 9 to 15!!! and also tried the Evans cooling NPG-R and that thing is just ridiculously better than water/water wetter (which was better than water itself)... 500 miles left to dyno and try the cut-off valve!!!

thx again!
