Help with decision on fuel pump

I have a brand new supra denso pump still in the box.

I was planning on fabricating a hanger off of the original hanger sitting at the other side of the fuel tank and running both my original jdm spec fuel pump along side the supra denso to achieve my fuel requirements(aiming to max out the Borg Warner sxe 62.99mm turbo).

I own a tig welder and enjoy fabricating.

Having searched around the forums I can't see anybody that has done this.
Is this idea viable?

I will be tracking the car but would rather not have to plumb in a swirl pot as my fuel system is all plumbed in already(ffe rails and Id 2000/850 straight to the hard lines).

I was thinking about buying the kenne bell boost a pump which will get me where I need with just the supra pump but doesn't solve the track side of things.

Would my dual pump idea work without the kenne bell or is there another option?

Some kind of tank baffle?

I am trying to do it right first time around, and keep it simple.

I already have all the supporting mods for the job and this is the last thing on the list.

97 fd. Want to run pump fuel with water injection. Have an AEM w/i kit.

Hi thanks for your input.
I have a fuel lab mini fpr mounted directly on the rail, are the fuel dampners still necessary?
Would you fit one just before each rail as the pipes run in series?
If so which would you recommend?

I asked the guys at Radium the same question. Should I be running a dampener on each rail? Here is the email response I got from them. "In theory you only need a single damper close to the rails, however, OEMs often will put a damper on both rails. So there is no one rule that fits-all. Each system is different and resonant frequencies in the fuel will be different. So we would recommend starting with one and seeing how it effects fuel pressure."
My opinion is if you run in series one should be fine if you're running a parallel system one on each rail would be better.

I highly recommend the Walbro 400 pumps. There are a few different types, but for the most part they perform the same, some are just more resistant to ethanol. I have a EFR 9180 and water injection and My fuel pressures follow boost with little to no drop. I'm using stock hard lines, 6AN to the rails, and Bosch 2200cc injectors X4. I'm sure full 6AN lines from the tank would provide more flow, but I'll cross that road when it comes. I've helped tune turbo V8 cars that have made over 800whp on one of these pumps. They're also inexpensive and quieter than almost any pump available.

^^ I agree the new Walbro 400s are quieter, stronger, and show less pressure drop than previous versions of Walbro pumps, the E85 pump is a F90000267 and a F90000262 for pump gas

Now to find a UK company that does dampeners, sick of paying the import/customs charges ordering from the US

I agree, I went with a Walboro 450 after years of running strictly Denso Supra TT fuel pumps and the thing I noticed right away was how quiet the Walboro 450 was.

Interesting to hear walbro pumps and quiet in the same sentence granted my experience with walbros is almost a decade old now surely they have improved.

My supra pump is basically silent I can't imagine it getting much more quiet short of not working.

Yeah, the 400lph is a different animal. They changed to a turbine-style impeller instead of the typical straight vane. It's more aerodynamic and efficient, making it quieter. It's definitely not the "whine-bro" of the past. I can hear mine prime when i key on the car, but once its idling, it's inaudible. And I have a pretty quiet exhaust.

according to the compressor map that is 77.5 pounds of air.

7.75 pounds of gasoline per minute needed net to the engine

584 rwhp SAE

41 PSI... you did say max it out.

note: it will make 565 (75 pounds) at a more reasonable 33 psi boost

referring to my Fuel Pumps thread:

43.5 static and 33 psi boost = 76.5 PSI, the flow is 80 GPH or 5047 CC/Min

43.5 plus 41 = 84.5 PSI, the flow is 4668 CC/Min

5047 CC/Min is 1.33 GPM or 8.44 pounds per minute

4668 CC/Min is 1.23 GPM or 7.81 pounds per minute

you need 7.75 max.

all the above is at a true 13.5 V to the pump which is essential.

looks like the Walbro 9000262 is a real mate for the SXE 62

should you need more flow consider running the pump at 16 V (only) in boost w a Kenne Bell Boost A Pump.

Hoping to have it all wrapped up within the next month and wil post the results.
Walbro arrived today.
I have a Couple more question if you guys don't mind.
I'm getting it rebuilt before tuning for peace of mind
The car ran perfect before I stripped it(imported it last year from Japan) and I know it's had a recent rebuild I don't know what it had done so i'm assuming it's standard at the moment.
Which type of port will be best suited to running the 363sxe divided .91 at 33psi?
Which seals? Strengthened studs?
I don't mind spending the money I just want to do right.
