HELP!! Can't get my car running after single install

Hi, I just installed a GT35R turbo kit, the rx7store 1600cc fuel system, the hks twin power and got my ecu mail ordere tuned (for a base map until a dyno tune) all at the same time. i cant seem to get the car running right. it sounds like its cranking all right, and sometimes it fires but runs like complete crap and i have to simultaneously keep tapping on the gas to keep it alive, if i hold down the gas to the floor it dies, and if i try to let it idle it dies. my dad was looking under the hood as it was running and the fuel pressure gauge on the Aeromotive FPR was barely going up and down, so i tried to adjust that but it didnt do anything. i talked to jason at rx7store and he said to prime the fuel system by jumping the F/P and GND in the diagnosis box. when i did that i heard fuel running through the system but the pressure gauge still wasnt doing anthing. I have a oil leak at the turbo feed line, but not any fuel leaks and i know i set it up right. after that i tried switching back to the stock fuel pump but that didnt do anything either. if anyone has any ideas please help.
thanks,
Craig

Where do you have your pressure gauge plumbed into the fuel lines? This may sound dumb but it is placed upstream (before) the pressure regulator right? It sounds like you have the FPR with a port for the gauge, in which case cross that one off. Do you have another gauge to plumb in..maybe that one is bad?

I had trouble getting my car to idle after going to single turbo as well...give us more info...do you have the smog pump still? Is your ISC plugged in? Have you blocked off everything with block-off plates or are some things still connected?

I had luck after I just unplugged almost everything including the ISC, and opened up the throttle stops wider on the throttle body, also back out the idle screw under the throttle body a bit. This will allow more air in for it to idle, that seemed to be my problem.

HTH..report back to us!

i have all block off plates, removed the air pump, i removed the ISC if thats the solenoid that is connected on the back side of the UIM on the firewall side, i still have the solenoid that is on the throttle body(not sure which is which). Before the single install i already had the block off plates installed and the only solenoids i had under the UIM were for turbo controll ones.(simplified sequential diagram) My fuel pressure gauge is screwed into the FPR itself which is right in front of the UIM. Where can i get a different gauge to plumb into the lines and where should i install it? at the feed before the rails?

After the rails is probably better but it would work on the other side, I was just suggesting plumbing a different gauge into the same port on the FPR to see if the one you are using is not working. If not they sell test kits at most auto parts stores with hardware to plumb into your fuel lines.. try the first option if you can I know the lines a pain in the butt to get to without taking off the UIM.

ok, earlier i took off the return line after the fpr right before it goes under the car and put it in a bottle and jumpered the F/P and the GND again and fuel was flowing out pretty well. after that i stuck my thumb over it and the fuel pressure gauge went up to 40psi (most ive ever seen it go up) so i guess this means it works? i tried messing around with the adjuster while i held my thumb over the line but the pressure didnt seem to change from 40psi where ever i turned it with the allan wrench.

Well by your description it sounds you either have a bad FPR or your adjustment screw is too far out on it, the further you thread the allen head adjustment on the top of the FPR the higher your pressure should go.

Just got your IM...apparently too late. I had that same problem. I'm sorry I didn't see your message sooner, as I could have helped. Glad everything's alright..
