GT42R response question

Hi people - excuse the different analogies as I'm Aussie.. I've just about finished building my FC & have a dirty big GT42R ready to go on. The turbo is a T6 frame with 1.05 A/R but the trick with mine is I have stuffed an 80 mm compressor wheel in & modified the inducer to fit it. The engine is a 9:1 series 5 (T2) motor with very large extend (street) ports (interestingly also had a huge amount of work done on the intake side in Japan). At this stage I'm probably going to run it with a tubular plenum style intake with a 75 or 80 mm single throttle body.
What I'm wanting to know is a few of you guys on this forum run these style turbo's on the later model FC & FD RX7's (over here it's mostly on the old school drag stuff) so I wanted to find what you guys thought of them on the road.
I'm trying to get an idea on acceptable street boost (we have 98 octane readily available at the pump) & what sort of power it would make - from what I've seen depending on the ancilliaries & tune it would be around 17 psi (fuel system I'm running is 2 '044' Bosch pumps, a Malpassi rising rate reg, two 12A turbo injectors & 4 Bosch CNG 16/700cc injectors - second two to be staged, also looking into a HKS Twin Power ignition set up or local CDI).
Also what I'd also like to know is when your 42's are starting to make boost, making decent boost & hitting full boost to give me a clue as to how she'll drive.
The last thing I'd like to know is what size fuel line the bigger horsepower guys are running as I'm into fitting up the fuel system now.
Any info would be much appreciated.

Ryan.

If I remember I'll take some pics while I'm bolting it all in over the next couple of weeks. Unfortunately over here we don't have a lot of specialist rotary shops that stock 'off-the-shelf' stuff like you guys seem to over there so it all involves a bit of time fabricating gear....

My personal opinion is it's the scariness (adrenaline) that keeps people coming back. I've liked cars since I was a kid but it all changed when I was a fresh faced 17 year old & bought my second ever car - a 450 hp, big stall auto v8 commodore (early brother of your current GTO) - had a 9 inch, 4.56 gears & a mini spool. God damn I scared the **** outta myself in the first few days of owning it & can't remember a time when I didn't get out of it after giving it a caning with my knees shaking - I was hooked for life after that - it's a disease. Doesn't get much better than squeezing the throttle on while cruising & swapping lanes.
Anyway another question for ya - I've seen a couple of guys are having trouble with compressor surge using certain blow off valves - I'm currently using a twin arrangement mounted directly to the intercooler end tanks but the valves are small Greddy knock offs (bought the cooler from another FC owner running a smaller turbo - it's a massive Trust core & the end tanks are good quality) - so I was wondering what Jap brands you'd recommend to deal with big boost as they're plentiful over here. I'll be running the car mainly around the 18 psi mark on pump gas but with the occasional C16 30 psi squirt.

Yeah, the Tial 50mm BOV seems to be the BOV of choice for the big hp crowd. They are pretty easy to come by as well.

Hey guys thanks for all the responses so far.
Would anyone by chance have a dyno sheet running pump fuel that would show me approx hp & boost figures - you guys run 91 octane pump juice don't you?
