Gt4082
Currently running some kind of Turbonetics turbo. I think its a 60-1 maybe a 62-1. I don't know.... its what I had laying around so I slapped it on there! I do know it Has a T4 Hotside .96 AR - open volute. 4" inlet on the compressor... ummmm and its polished sorta.
I just acquired a GT4082:
GT4082 Compressor Specs:
Wheel Diameter
Inducer: 58.0mm
Exducer: 82.0mm
Trim: 50
A/R: 0.58
GT4082 Turbine Specs:
Wheel Diameter: 77mm
Trim: 73
A/R: 0.94
Type: Free Float
Anyhoo - my car is a half bridge and wants to injest all the air it can.
Am I pissing in the wind to use the GT4082 instead of the physically smaller Turbonetics- what I think is a 60-1?
To fit the GT4082 I will have to build a new downpipe since it has a 3 1/2" v-band instead of 3". Also the compressor outlet is v-band and not slip on. Also kind of a bummer since it will require even more fabrication.
From what I can tell through searching, the GT4082 doesn't really flow that well so is it worth the extra effort to build a downpipe and compressor piping on the GT4082? From what I can tell from searching the GT4082 does not flow that well - so should I just hold off until I find a GT4088 (what I really want) or a GT40R (no way I'll ever get one of these prolly since I'm a cheap skate).

It's even smaller than a standard 35R.
I wouldn't bother with it, honestly there's nothing even wrong with a 62-1 w/ P-trim. Are you looking for more power, better response....
