gt35r vs t04r
well the time has come around and ive decided to go single.
now ive heard nothing but good things about both kits. but with only a $400 difference which would be the better choice?
i have every supporting mod to go single so thats not a worry and i also have a fresh motor with 7k on the clock with a street port.
the car is my daily driver and weekend warrior. my goals are for 400whp-430 range
with good spool .. and i only want to run about 15-16psi.
i also will have my alcohol inj as an option to run.
tia
ps.. ive searched both kits.

thats weird ... theres alot of posts with people using a gt35r with great success.. also the venders sell them as popular kits..
anyone know the exact specs of both turbos??

Well I'm bumping this thread cause I'm debating both of those turbos too... same hp goals also, but I'm building a drift car from the frame up so I need quick spool... but from what I've read they both spool pretty damn fast... oh AND I've got a street port.
If you're ported just go 35R unless you peg it, then sell it and get a T04R.
I really woudlnt see why you would want to go bigger unless you're talking some SERIOUS track racing (circut or drag strip), and with doriftu you want responce and a wide torque band more than anything.

The 35R will give you good response, and depending on tuning and the rest of your setup, can crack 400rwhp on pump gas. The T04R can also get you well over 400 on pump gas, and will have headroom to go up to I believe around 530rwhp or so, but it will have considerably more lag.

hmmm dunno what to get.... I guess my main concern should be response... 400 hp is just a good well rounded hp for what I intend to do... but there may be times when I wanna up the boost a bit for track racing or even a little drag racing. Main concern though is being able to get good response.
Unfortunately I dunno how to match a turbo to my setup. I can read and understand compressor maps... to a point... but with a street port and what not I dunno what my cubic flow rate will be so I don't know where the effieciency will be for any of those turbos listed...
The other thing is I MAY run an anti-lag system durring drift competition, not sure yet though.
