I fabricated a downpipe with mild steel elbows and a flex joint. I hope it lasts since it's my first hack at welding.

 

Here is a pic of the old downpipe (previous owner), my downpipe, and HKS manifold with T4/T3 adapter flange welded to it.

Yes, I know the welds will disturb the exhaust pulse flow. I need to smoothen the weld out.

Clearance from the frame to the turbo wasn't much, but it's enough.

Fits pretty good with the rest of the exhaust.

You'll notice the J-spec lower intake manifold was used since the EGR cast in the manifold hit the top of the turbine housing.

I switched around the water line fittings.

I will hate removing/installing this set-up again since everything is so hard to access.
