anyone know if the 35/40 is comparable to Apexi kit?
Size wise and lag time. I had the Apexi kit on my last FD and really liked it but I want more RWHP this time but not a real laggy turbo. I was making 355rwhp with the Apexi and a non-ported 2mm motor. I am looking for at least 410-420rwhp. Some of the domestics, like the new Cobra and the new Vettes in the next few years are getting pretty fast, and they are bone stock. And then you have the EVO8 and the STI which will really fly with a few mods. In other words, I want to stay one step a head. I dont have to be miles ahead, just ahead, because a win is a win..

 

When did the Apexi spool up and how much boost were you running?

the apexi rx6b has put down what you want...dougie fresh did it so you might want to ask him about it. I am pretty sure he has a nice port though...

the apexi rx6b is waht i would tell u to get... its good for a good amount upwards of the numbers u want...

also apexi has that ax75 which is also dual bb and is bigger than the rx6 b

The GT35/40 is bigger than the RX6 hence it will put out more power. I've heard from others that the kit spools up very fast as well. However, if I was to do it over again, I would buy the XS T04S kit. The t04s spools up a little slower than the rx6 but makes a lot more power than the rx6 or the gt35/40

 

GT35/40 will give you the power you want. I made over 400 rwhp easily. It Kicks Apexi RX6's ***!

 

Apexi RX6B TCW76LS is a 58 mm turbo so it makes less power than Gt35/40 which is a 60 mm turbo. On the otherhand, Apexi RX6 TCW77LS is a 61 mm turbo with identical spool up to the TCW 76LS. Get this turbo by any chance. It's the best of both worlds IMHO.

BTW, RX6 TCW76LS is US RX6B turbo, you need to have somebody from Japan to get RX6B TCW77LS.

does anybody know any stats on the HKS T-51? like how fast it spools, and max power output?

 

The T-51 is HUGE. It will slow way after the other 2. There is data on rotary extreme's website. (look for the kit)

 

T51RKai is a 70 mm turbo.
T51RSPL is a 76 mm turbo.
Kai = 800 hp, SPL = 1000 hp.
