Yeh
Turbonetics has finally joined the present decade by offering the GTK turbos. The turbine wheels are very familar to the S-trim/GT42 turbine wheel.
They do have an interesting twist to the anti surge design though.

I've created at least one or two threads on the GT-K's trying to figure out if they lived up to the hype. *no-one* has dyno comparos for these things and I don't expect turbonetics to release flow maps any time soon.

Any word from distributors?

The GTK uses a smaller turbine wheel then the GT42's. The compressor wheel though is virtually indentical in design. The GTK though is more compact in size and will make 1000crank hp, where the GT4276 will make 1150-1200hp.

maybe this is an obvious question, but whats wrong with single ball bearing vs. dual ball bearing? Does it make that big of a difference? Seems like single might be more robust where dual has a bit less friction?

I've been talking with Robert over on the turbonetics owners club forums. The only GTK's with rotary friendly a/r's are the 800 & 1000.

I'll call and ask if they can Frankenstein the compressors & turbines for a more useful turbo for our unique engines. I figure if they can retrofit old turbos with new ball bearing CHRAs they should be able to do this...

I was refering to the 850 and 1000 turbos as having the S-trim turbine wheels.
Does anyone have the exact turbine wheel specs meaning the inducer/exducer dimensions.

they havent released them yet. only certain dealers have access to the turbos right now. june 1st they will be available to the general public through turbonetics.

i am not opposed to measuring. the only thing they had was a .96 but he said he would swap that out for me when he gets some. i just needed it to make the manifold.

The 850 and the 1000 have the inconel F-1 wheels IIRC. I'll see if i can't get those dimensions for yah.

It's a shame i can't edit, would have saved space. Anywho:

The F1 P trim is a T4 turbine with a F1 65 trim turbine, they used to call it an F1 P trim turbine wheel.

The standard T4 P trim has a 2.542" exducer and a 2.920" major diameter. The F1 wheels have a taller tip height and are all 10 blade turbine wheels.

He's digging deeper to see if they've "released" any other data.
