Greddy T78 Single Turbo Instructions

I just bought a T78 kit but all the instructions are in Japanese. Anyone know where I can find some how to for this install or maybe a place to download the instructions in English. I already checked the Greddy website. If anyone has any tips for problems they ran into with this install please let me know. I am being told there is some machine work that needs to be done to the lower intake manifold. Any help or advise is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I probably should have put this in the Single Turbo section. Sorry. If someone could move it for me that would be great.
Thanks,

Does anyone have any pics of the machine work that has to be done to the stock intake manifold?
Thanks,

I went to thier web site and looked all over, but I cannot find any install info anywhere. Can you get me the link where you found it? Thanks,

Brady

There is quite a lot to type if I were to explain how I installed my turbo, and I am sure there are guys who know lots more than I do about this install, but since it seems you are sitting where I was about 3 months ago I will try to point you in the general direction...
---First remove old turbos...hey, I will start at the start
---the new manifold was a pain to get onto the old studs...but I didn't want to have to remove them from the case so I used a car jack and tilted the engine away from the wall just enough to get the manifold onto the studs...I only needed about 1/2 inch...make sure you have the gaskets on the studs (I used the original since I didn't have new ones)
--With that on the nuts can be put back on...now the manifold should be in place.
-You have to decide if you are going to remove all the solenoids and hoses...and then cap off any nipples left that would be a vacuum leak. I removed all the solenoids except the one right behind the alternator...That is what I was told, I don't know if that one actually does anything. I left the clips, but some people just snip them off.
--Block off plates might be a good idea a this point if you havn't already done them...$60 kit though the Rx7 store...probably worth if unless you have time to make them your self (just my opinion)
--There is supposed to be a block off plate with the turbo kit (mine didn't come with one though) this one goes over the real oil return, near the transmission, use gasket provided.
--Using the two hose plugs (the bolt looking things that will fit into a hose and can be hose clamped in) plug the two water lines (send and return) that are coming off the radiator fluid neck. Hose clamp them on.
--put curved metal flange on the front oil return, reuse metal gasket already on the hole. yes, it is way under there, this will hook to the straight flange that you will put on the bottom side of the turbo.
--carefully bend the oil send metal pipe upward to about a 30 degree angle from the horizen, this will allow the oil line to clear the turbo.
-- wrap and zip tie the heat shield around anything that looks like it won't like heat, oil pump, rubber hoses, etc.
--remove the one manifold bolt that you can see easily and put the metal 'tab' piece that has two holes in it on the bold and re-bolt on the bolt. this tab will hold the heat shield (the aluminum sheet metal with cloth on one side) next to the engine to protect it from the heat of the turbo.
--install studs into the exhaust manifold where the turbo will mount (use the two nuts locked together to tighten them in) CAREFUL not to drop anything into the manifold.
--install studs into bottom of the WG
--You can install the exhaust pipe onto the WG, the pipe mounts so that when the WG is on the manifold the pipe will point down and back. The pipe will be on the transmission side of things.
--using teflon tape, install the 90* threaded pieces into the top and side of the WG
--install the straight flange onto the bottom of the turbo (oil return)
--Put turbo on and bolt down (don't forget gasket)
--With the block off plate on the LIM try to fit the DP onto the turbo...it will probably hit. Mark where it hits and take a hammer to it...This method will probably cause some back pressure in the exhaust, but I didn't want to machine into the LIM. Call me lazy.
--This is also a good time to have another bung welded into the DP if you want a Wide band O2 sensor further down the exhaust track...away from so much heat.
--Before you install the DP you can install the WG (and gasket), unless you want to go under the car to install the WG.
--Install DP and Gasket
--Install Intercooler pipes
--install air filter
--start car
--tune
--enjoy

Depending on the IC you have, you could have some more fun ahead...
Disclaimer: This was a basic idea of how I installed the t-78 and I have lots of pieces left over. I am sure I have forgot things...and there is always a chance that I did something incorrectly, so please don't blame me if something bad happens....this is just a 'starter' instructions.

In this picture you can see the dent I put in the DP, the shield between the turbo and engine, and The oil line bent next to the turbo

GOOD LUCK!

OK, I finally got an e-mail back from Greddy. Here it is.

My original e-mail:
I just got my Turbo kit in today. The only problem is my Manual and instructions are all in Japanese. Can you mail or e-mail me the instruction in English? Thanks for your help.

Greddy's response:
Thanks for your interest in GReddy Products. As long as you have your receipt from an authorized dealer, you can fax us a copy with your request and the instruction can then be faxed back to you at 949-588-6318. If you do not have the receipt or it is not from an authorized dealer, you must try to acquire the instructions from whomever you purchased the kit from.
Please keep in touch with your favorite Authorized Greddy dealer for more updates. http://greddy.com/dealers/

The only problem is I bought mine new in the Box from an individual going through a divorce. So guess what, I don't have the receipt. Can someone that has thier receipt fax it to this number and get a copy of this to help out people like me? You could scan it and post it on the Forum for all to enjoy.
