greddy t-78 kit with greddy profec-b

To the people that have the profec-b with t-78 kit, could you tell me how you installed your hoses from controller box??? I talk to chris at RP for advice and when I hook the hoses like he told me to the boost went sky rocket, 20psi at 3/4's throttle with controller off.. I installed the it the first time, like the diagram said to, and I was still stuck at 10 psi after turning the ****. Also can you tell me where you set the four buttons in the back of the controller at?? I set them up,down,down,up, is that right??

read my reply to that post

boost source -> side of wastegate
boost source -> solenoid in
solenoid out -> top of wastegate
boost/vacuum source -> profec-b

you will only be able to boost as low as the spring in the wastegate is set for.

to find this out, leave the top of the wastegate disconnected, but have a boost source run to the side.

switches if i recall
should be down up down up
or up down up down

read the manual

so run a hose from side port of the wastegate, to the "out" part of controller box. Run the "in" part of the controller motor to the IUM. Also run a line from top of wastegate that { 3 way joint connects} with the line that goes to the "IN" part of controller motor??? Thanks man,, this has really really been lots of help

No, hook a line up grom the side port of the WG to a boost source, then a line from the in port on the control box to a boost source. then, run a line from the top of the WG to the in port on the control box....
make sure that the hose that go's to the back of the profec b is not kinked,disconnected! also, back the screw all the way out of the top of the WG, that way, you'll lowest boost setting will be like 9 psi or so..

Do a search on this, I recall Jason recanting how he had setup the ProfecB to work on an external wastegate single turbo setup. I found it the other day searching on boost controllers but it was several pages in.

nooooooooooooo
read my original post

boost source to side of wastegate (this opens the waste gate)

boost source to solenoid in (the solenoid will restrict pressure or let it go through)

solenoid out to top of waste gate (this keeps the wastegate closed, if the same amount of pressure goes to the each side of the diaphram, the spring keeps it shut. this is how you build boost by keeping the wastegate shut.)

vacuum/boost source to boost controller unit (this tells the solenoid to stay open or close so you can build or bleed boost)

again

boost source -> side of wastegate
boost source -> solenoid in
solenoid out -> top of wastegate
vac/boost source -> boost controller
