Chrysler?

I can't picture what injectors of that size would have been used on factory, especially by Chrysler. Does anyone know?

Some of the shops that do Buick turbo upgrades are also very competitive on prices. If I weren't working towards a titanium compressor wheel setup myself, I'd be looking at Buick-like stuff!

But since i will be using the HALTECH i dont think it will matter or will it???..
The K2RD 1600cc injectors are also low impedence, you will need 9-10ohm resistors, or you will fry your computer...
You will also need to cut the stock injector wiring harness plugs off and get plugs that will fit the injectors, I just picked up a HKS AIC injector harness that runs 2 injectors ($20) and cut the plugs off it... wire the ground wire from the injector plug to the -ground wire on the stock harness, then run the power wire from the injector plug to the relay and from the relay to the power wire on the stock harness... the thick wire on the stock harness is the power, the thin one is the ground... also be sure to put some heat shrink over your connections and over the resistor...

Plugs

For an unrelated project, I've been trying to buy new injector plugs. I'll be talking with Ford today as well as a few other efi places, but has anyone else found new clips cheap? Talking the VERY square ones, like on GSL-SE and early 2nd gens.

$20/2 with the HKS harness isn't terrible.

Frustrating that I can't find the AMP part number! These guys in Aus have the AMP ones.

http://www.nardek.com.au/EFI/Clips.htm

I have a few OEM NipponDenso ones, also no part number. The Ford ones I nabbed from a parts car last week are nice as well, we'll see what they charge for replacements. Rumor has it that Ford is reasonable for "repair connectors."

The connectors off a FC wiring harness will also work... Also most Nissan's with top feed injectors will work if you want to hit the junk yards..

I can get some more used ones, but new and cheap would be nice.

Which 2nd gens got the round connectors on the injectors? ALL high impedence, or just 89+? (Unsure on 89+turbo and 87.5-88 turbo....)

The blue/gray 160's are from Ford and were used in a natural gas burning V-8. Check out FMS catalog they sell them by the 8's.
The brown 160's are from Chrysler and I have no clue what they are used in.

You would need a minimum of 6 just to support the HP at 30 psi and that might not even be enough!
I'm running 8 injectors!

AAAAh yes, natural gas. It all makes sense now!

Regarding injector sizing for running ethanol. Just pretend you're setting up fuel systems for 3 different 13b's on pump gas. Then put all the fuel equipment on the same engine for ethanol. ;-)

hmmm I could see that, all the metonal tunning I've done was about 10 years ago on V-8's racing dirt track and it required about 2 times more fuel than regular gas to make the same power, but on a rotory w/turbo and boost I can see why you would need about 3 times more fuel... Hey does your manifold get super cold and form frost like our small block used to?

Yep, that was for you.. hey and idea I've always thought about playing with was to put a small sub injector in front of the intercooler in the piping so the methonal will get pulled threw the intercooler evaporating making the intercooler super cold, I'm just wondering if it would all evaporate, or if it would puddle in the bottom of the intercooler...

by the way we used to run 13.5:1 compression on our V-8 with no knocking... and the exaust smell kicks ***, just don't get it in your eyes...

Awesome deal on the injectors. I was looking around at what other parts they had, how would the Walbro 307 fuel pump do in an RX-7? It's $92.00 and flows 255lph. I'm not planning on installing 1600cc injectors, but would the pump be a good upgrade for an '87 Turbo II?

Pump

You can get the kit made for the RX-7, the "HOT" 255lph walbro, model GSS341, for about the same price.

http://www.vfaq.com/RX7-Miata-pumps.html

I believe k2rd.com and Todd Day of vfaq.com both sell them. K2RD has always done be well. Seems that the cheapest I found it was through a SY-TY oriented vendor.

http://www.autoperformanceengineerin.../fuelpump.html is one, a little cheaper than the other 2.

So now since I have a cheap source for the 1600's I have to get the rail as well. Hey Crispeed, do you still sell the rail?
