Got it running yet? GT3540

Anyone got their GT3540 up and running yet?
Whats the verdict, good, v. good etc?
Any dyno runs yes, how does it perform.
Looking forward to mine being fitted next week.

strangely quiet

I have yet to see one post from anyone on their installed GT3540. They are out there, but they are not talking. I hope that doesn't mean they are disappointed. I pick mine up tomorrow, but I'll have to break in the motor, so it will be awhile until I can report.

I just finished installing mine 2 days ago. the response and spool up on it is unbelivable. I was running the stock wastegate spring which was (13psi) it felt pretty damn good already. I didn't turn on my boost controller because i had to drive my car to A-spec to do some adjustment on the E6K. after the adjustment i'm gonna turn that baby up to 20psi.

I'll have some pictures for you guys to look at SOON!!!!!!

Just drove mine home from KD. I also have reman motor, so Dave set the boost @ 8lbs. Didn't go over 5000 rpm, but according to the boost gauge, this thing has split-second response (quicker than my twins were). Also feels like it has more torque. I got to put 500 miles on, then take it back to be tuned.
BTW, Dave says there is $400+ worth of equipment that you need with the kit from A-spec, that comes standard on other kits. Take that into account when considering which kit to buy.

Anybody use the search function?

I've posted as well as 40oz the GT35/40 set-up on our cars. I did a more step by step installation, but I didn't buy a kit.

The spool up time is quicker than the T04 turbos I've used (including ceramic ball bearing CHRA). It doesn't have the torque build-up at the low rpms like the stock twins (below 2krpm). However, it does spool real quick and it feels very responsive.

I'm very happy with the turbo. There hasn't been much post about the performance of the GT35/40 after my installation because I've been having fun with it on the road. =o)

What is it with you guys and your "use the search function"? Is this some kind of reprimand from superior oldtimers or what? The original post asked about results; 40 oz said he was going for a dyno, and never posted the results. There are no dynos posted that I'm aware of, and YES, I HAVE SEARCHED THE FORUMS TO DEATH!

Thanks Guys
The reason I ask is that I have a friend with a GT35 which is very responsive and does seem to have very little lag etc. It isn't fully set-up yet. I have the GT35/40 but it isn't installed as yet. You guys all went for the 1.06 exhaust. I have the 0.82 exhaust after visiting and discussing things with Tim at RPM. I hope for a quick spool and don't need more than 350-400 rwhp. I haven't seen any dyno figures for this turbo either, but butt in the seat figures are helpful too.
Cheers
