Just a question for you GT folks... you know that the GT3540 is a T3/T4 Hybrid, right? Thats what makes the spool up faster, and with the T4 intake, it is able to flow more up top.... Place me in the skeptics category for these turbos...

I thought these units used much more modern turbine and compressor designs whereas the To4 series has been around forever.

Also, the GT series has been around for quite some time, at least in Japan. I was glancing through an RX7 specific magazine from Japan which was published mid-late 80's and there were a few cars that had them. What took us so long to discover them here?

If anyone has seen the HKS drag finals video (from Japan), MANY of the cars are using twin Garrett's and T88's. I can't remember exactly which version, but the fastest Skyline was using twin GT's of the HKS variety. The fastest FD/FC also used twin GT's, 3037's.

The delay of the GT's being used on FD's may have been due to pricing.

I know that recently the GT series turbos are "more affordable" than in the past. I think the price is sound for the quality.

Yeah these things have been in Japan forever now. Its like everything else that they have over there, that we either don't get or have to wait for ever and have to pay a premium or get the watered down version.

I believe that HKS and Garrett worked hand in hand to develop the GT series turbos for performance applications. Because of that, HKS had a jump on the other distributors of Garrett's latest series of turbos.

The early GT series sold in Japan (5 years ago) were... I believe.. all HKS GT series Garrett turbos and not Garrett's GT series.

It's a busy time for me as well. My new project picked up at work and my weekends are for my gf.

I'll get to it eventually.

We've got a few pushy members in the crowd, but I know people are anxious. Keep waiting...

If you can't wait, get a T78 since a lot of people have proven results with it.

Like Gordon posted, you'll see a general trend with all the popular single turbo dyno graphs. I don't expect any miracles or phenomenons. Just a decent dyno plot where I can pull around 400rwhp peak reliably.

I just figured since you have the money to try out all the other turbo kits, you would have time to dyno it by now.
Not to mention you can waste it on a women.
I don't expect you to do it for me or the forum or your country.
I'm just surprised with all these kits out there, that not one has yet posted a sheet.
I, just as everyone else wants to know what kind of numbers these things put out.
Since I've got a feeling that some people are shy about posting numbers, I think this kit is not what they thought it was.
My post wasn't directed to you in any manner.
Since the question of you selling your kit in question, I found it odd and just wanted to see what has been going on with the numbers on these things.

Question Prices?

I was doing research on full garret turbo #'s (I was only familiar with turbonetics turbos). And ran across a nice australian page with the GT series turbos for sale. I SURE wish I could afford one cause after the currency conversion they are less than 1500.00. Is there anywhere cheaper, or any place for more info?
If it were up to me I would get the 35/40 with the 1.06 A/R Turbine Housing on the .84 trim turbine wheel. Nice looking units, do they sound as cool as an RX-6 Apexi (I have heard that one personally)?

www.turbofast.com.au

Look under turbos on sale or specials.
