Pics of GT35/40 kit with polish & WG to DP dump

My GT35/40 kit came yesterday. This is the one with the polished turbo housing, coated downpipe and wastegate dump back to DP.

The two turbos in the last 5 pics are GT35/40 & Greddy T-78.

Enjoy!

http://flathat.woodstream.net/RX7/GT3540/

props to Badog for his pics!

BTW: You can blow into the exhaust housing of the GT35/40 and spin the turbo, you CAN NOT do that on the T-78.

*note to self* need to post a vid of a hot-a$$ chic blowing into the turbo making it spin...hehehe

what kind of port did you decide for that nocab? it seems like the turbo's not too big so a mild streetport would have been perfect for it.

I'm still waiting to hear back from Rob @ Pineapple on what he decided. He is the expert, not me.

He has all the turbo specs and I've sent him the dyno graphs of the GT35/40's that have been posted. I'm sure I'll be happy with whatever he chooses.

If I feel it isn't large enough, I've got a perfectly good 40k original stock motor I'm pulling out that I can send out to have rebuilt and monster street ported or racing ported...

The compressor looks a bit bigger than the T-78 and the turbine housing looks smaller. What size is the compressor and turbine wheels? The T-78 is roughly a 66mm compressor wheel... about the same as a T-66. What A/R is the exhaust? Is it a P or Q trim? Just curious...

Looks sweet!

Jim: The exhaust on mine is the 1.06. I do not know the trim or compressor wheel size...Jason do you have the rest of the specs on this turbo kit? I feel like a dumbass not knowing... !

nah, i doubt the porting's gonna be too small. w/ a small turbine like that you don't wanna advance the timing too much. that turbo's gonna make good power down low, why kill it w/ a large port? does anyone sell a straight up gt40, that would seem to be very similar to a t78 but w/ duall bb.

Technically a "teeny" bit less power, but much, much quieter. An Open Wastegate sounds almost like Open Header - Loud.

Some people like it that way.

Where did you get your turbo kit at? And how much horsepower do you expect to the wheels?
