this a good mid muffler?

I'm looking for a good/cheep mid muffler and am wondering if this would last under the heat? For 35 bucks it might just be worth it to try.

It should be alright.

I was about to use it until I saw the Borla for about $100 shipped. SO I used the Borla and it actually sounded great by itself (I had an N1 muffler and tip).

Dynomax is very raspy.
Borla was throaty and had a lot of bass and low-mid frequency tones.

I have tried 6 or 7 different mid muffs and none lasted a whole summer, not even the 250.00 magnaflow stainless series they have life time warr. but they only let me play that game 3 times and said they would no longer replace them because ai was using it on a car it was not euqipped for. I finally just gave up and bought the biggest rear muffler Magnaflo made. 4inch in, 4 inch out, 22inch length and 8.5inch Dia. Now the car is even quieter than it was before and no more pro blem mos. Give it a go! You may even have seen pics of my car with the big MUFF hangin outback. 1st gen TII silver.

hmm, so just get a good big rear one then? Id like to be able to hear the turbine from the exh note but not have it drone while crusing down the road. What exh system/muffler setup would be best?

For a mid muffler that thing is going to burn out pretty quick. At least its straight through so it will just get a little louder rather than restictive. They are very loud. My friend had 2 as rear mufflers and they were very loud. I'd choose something out of stainless for sure. The fiberglass early in the exhaust stream worries me. On the bright side if they do burn up, they were cheap!
