Garrett VS Master/XS power?

I keep seeing the master power turbos and some XS power turbo's being used, how do these things hold up when compared to the Garrett's?

Have people had alot of success with these units, and what about the actual products themselves, personally I have not seen one, but do they appear to be a quality product, both visually and performance wise?

i got a real masterpower turbo.. its very nice.

the xs power ones are hit or miss. good luck with them.

the xspower people buy front covers from masterpower and put them on thier turbo. make sure your getting it from a real dealer and not some xspower, ssauto, stone mountain seller on ebay.

If you are talking about the xs power turbos u get on ebay they suck. I have never put one on a rx7 but i did used one on a civic i was working on for a friend and it started smoking in less then two weeks. They sent him a different on and same thing but this time it took 3 weeks. I run the garrett gt35r on my 93 rx7 and never had a problem with it, but i guess you have to look at the price difference. His kit was 650 (i think) and my kit was 3300, i guess you get what you pay for. But that is just my 2 cents.

I have always heard that the xspower were crap but I wonder if when it craps out you could have it rebuilt with better internals and it would be ok?

why waste the money... would end up costing the same as getting a real turbo.

Masterpower is in the same league as any T series Garrett. It will keep toe too toe with garrett in performance and reliabilty.
Unfortunitly they dont do ball bearing yet. But who knows maybe soon!

Pls note that Masterpower and Xspower are two totally different turbos. I think the ebay seller "ssautochrome" may have damaged Masterpowers branding for most of you guys here on the forum.
