A similar turbo was suggested by Turbonetics for road racing application in roughly that range...should have nice spoolup...
Whether or not it is "worth it" is up to you and your goals.
You should call up Cheap Turbo or Turbonetics and talk to someone about what you want to do. Turbonetics is quite approachable (I know several friend with FC's that have used them). That's what aftermarket vendors are for. If you have to do all the research on your own, you might as well be ordering directly from the manufacturer?
