Garrett exh. housing

I picked up a used garrett housing and was wondering if it is a "P" trim housing(which is what I was looking for).I don't have a bore gauge but the inside of the housing is about 2.5 inchs in the exducer area eyeballing it with a tape measure.I know the specs of the "P" trim wheel exducer are "2.544 inches" and a "O"trim is "2.296.Does the exducer section fit very closely in the housing ? Any help would be greatly appreciated..cheers

Thanks Carl, can you elaborate? Wouldn't the the housing bore be the same for all p-trim wheel housings irrespective of a/r ratio?....cheers

Do you have the rest of the turbo? How about just seeing if it fits?

The exducer does fit pretty close to the wheel. There won't be >0.10" of clearance between the wheel and the housing.

No, don't have the rest, that's why I was wondering. It was a divided /tang. housing in a a/r I was looking for at a price I couldn't pass up.I was looking at trying a power-master turbo possibly(60-1 equiv.),but they offer a/r ratios in T4 flavors that you wouldn't use on a rotary. Also noticed most of the "off the shelf" garrett's ,and places like precision turbo seem to offer turbo's with undivided housings....cheers

I do not know, if someone can answer that, I can help. There are subtle differences in the sizes of various brands of P trim housings. Mine measures 75.48mm/2.971" bore(facing the CHRA), and the v band side is 2.600", or 66.04mm
