Exclamation Fuel system advice needed.

hi guys,

im planing to buy single turbo kit and fuel system for my 1993 FD, and im using 98 oct fuel, and my engine is still with stock port, but has the folloeing modification:

Engine management:

Apexi Power FC w/ commander
AEM A/F gauge
Auto meter CF boost gauge
Auto meter CF fuel pressure gauge
Greddy pro1 Boost control

Engine:

HKS titanium w/ CF cat back exhaust
HKS down pipe
HKS intercooler kit
HKS Air Filters
Welbro Fuel pump
K&N fuel filter
NGK Racing spark plugs w/ wires
Greddy racing pulleys
direct twin turbos
ACT XTREME STREET CLUTCH KIT
ACT prolight flywheel
B&M short shifter

i was thinking to buy the ultimate fuel system and the GT40R turbo kit from rx7store.com

my goal is to get 450 RWHP....

so what do you think guys about this fuel system and the turbo kit

any other advices for the turbo kit or the fuel system or shall i go for them?

thanks alot

The only thing I can think of that your missing is an hks twin power ignition system. Or any type of ignition system. but I dont think you will have a problem running those numbers with that turbo.

yeah i think the gt 35 can make that power and spool a little quicker, don't they also also have gt35/40 hybrids? the ultimate kit will do what you need and then some, if you wanted to save a little money you could go with the extreme kit. the 550/1600 is still good for over 500 hp probably up to about 600hp. It retains the primary rail/injectors and will be a little easier to tune at idle.

You didnt say if the AEM A/F gauge was wideband or not, if not don't use it to tune. I recommend getting a wideband o2 sensor/controller, and the datalogit so you can more easily tune the car yourself if you wanted. Or you can get a full throttle tune from a professional and then tune your cruse/idle maps yourself.

yea the AEM A/F gauge has wideband

so you think GT35R kit, the extrem fuel system, my modification above with stock port will easy get me my goal or 500 RWHP in not more than 22 PSI boost ?

yeah i think the extreme fuel system is more then adequate, there are some other similar fuel kits out there that are even a little less then that one. by like $50 or so. i think a guy named keith or keven makes them can't remember for sure but i've seen them mentioned.

I think the gt 35 would get your where you want to be with 22 psi or less, but i don't have that turbo and im street ported so i can't say for sure. i'm sure if you search the single turbo area a bit you can find alot of dyno info on the gt 35, it's one of the more popular turbos. of course the hotside a/r will also have an effect on spool and peak HP.
