fuel set up?

So I'm doing a single turbo set up. My fuel set up is 1600 top feed/850 stock with modified rail. Situation is do I need injectors clips and/or resistors.

You need injector clips and resistors (or injector driver) for the 1600's.

might want to re think the 850's they can be a pain to lean out at idle. There is a recent thread in the pfc section about a better alternative. I will be ditching my 850 top feed primaries for them soon. Some are able to achieve good results without too much negative lag but many others are not satisfied with them.

ok well i got the resistors and injector clips i need to know where to install the resistors at? read up not to mount them in the engine bay cause of the vibration and heat. so i need wiring diagram and where do mount it?

You can put them on your engine harness in the interior or put them in the engine bay. It really doesn't matter...

I've seen car's where they've wired it on the positive and ground side. It doesn't seem to matter but I for some reason put them on the ground sides. I would just make sure that whatever you do on one you do to match all the others...

So do you have to solder the resistor into the injectors clips or can you wire it in

Soldering the wires to the resistors is smarter. If you simply loop the wires through you could get an intermittent connection. That can only = BOOM in the future...

I'll make another suggestion. Skip the 1600s and use the ID 2000s. In addition to being high impedance, which eliminates the need for the resistor all together, they're a better all around injector. More flow, better atomization, more linear response. Only downside is the high price tag.

I got to attend the Motec "Understanding Your Injectors" seminar at PRI last week, and it's amazing how little most people really know about real-world injector perfomance. Long story made short, I'm in absolute concurrance with C. Ludwig: don't put a bandaid (i.e. resistors) on a sucking chest wound (antiquated techology), buy the RIGHT injectors!! In the long run, your tune will be much more accurate, repeatable and SAFE!

Personally, my 13B-REW is setup with four ID2000.

Wiring diagrams do exist for our cars and you could always put a voltmeter to both wires to find the power one >_>
